Top Hawker Stalls in Singapore Part 1

Hawker stalls is always the place that we settle our daily meal as there cheap, nice and delicious food with various of choices (Zhi char, vegetarian, halal and etc.) and some even open 24 hours. Almost everyday I will visit different hawker stalls to explore their food (Im greedy eaterrrr... =p). Hawker stalls food's somehow it taste better than those restaurant. Some of them even offering food delivery services to the nearby condo and HDB. Is good for those who lazy walk out form house... =p

Sooooo..... Hereby.... I recommend you all some of my favourite stalls at different area.

1. Day Night Fried Kway Teow 日夜炒粿条

Like this because it not too oily yet not too dry. Using thinner kind of kway teow like pad thai, it results in a lighter and more lively texture.

The essential essence of the wok (wok-hei) was evident with every bite, the sour plum resulted in a zestiness that was weird yet comforting and most importantly, this dish would cater to those who prefer a optimal balance between sweetness and wok-hei.

Address : Blk 163 Bukit Merah Central Food Centre Stall 02-29

2. Wei Yi Laksa & Prawn Noodle  唯一辣沙

Simply like the spiciness of coconut milk laksa soup. The noodle cooked until a perfect heat with lots of fresh ingredient like cockles, prawn, sliced chicken/fish cake and etc.

Address : 48 Tanglin Halt Road #01-20 Tanglin Halt Market

3. Nam Sing Hokkien Fried Mee (Hougang) 南足福建炒虾面 (后港)

Serving in dry style, by just using prawns, ikan bilis and squid, the pure goodness has entirely infused in the mixture of thick (yellow noodles) and thin (bee hoon (white rice vermicelli)) noodles.

Address : Old Airport Road Food Centre #01-32

4. Lim Seng Lee Duck Rice 林成利鸭饭餐室

Famous with the Teochew style of boneless duck. Cooked and cut into sliced. The meat just perfectly tender bite in mouth combining with their home-made sauce. Other than duck rice, sambal kangkong, egg with beancurd and lemon juice are their signature orders too.

But sad that this stall had been closed at 22 June 2013 since the owner uncle wish to retired after serving duck rice 45 years. Glad that I tried it before they close.

Address : 38 South Buona Vista Road
